FBI, APD Looking for Buckhead Bank Robbers

Two men, one of whom was armed, robbed Fifth Third Bank on Piedmont Road Thursday afternoon.

The FBI and Atlanta police are looking for two men who robbed a bank in Buckhead Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. One of the men brandished a semi-automatic handgun when he and a partner entered Fifth Third Bank on Piedmont Road and announced a robbery just before 4 p.m. The men escaped the scene on foot with money, although the amount remains undisclosed at this time. Surveillance photos of both men, which were released by authorities, can be viewed in the original AJC article here. Descriptions of the suspects: The armed suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s. Patch Pic: Matt Kenseth’s No. 17 NASCAR Show Car

The show car made a stop at Fifth Third Bank's Lindbergh Financial Center location last week.

Matt Kenseth’s No. 17 NASCAR Ford Fusion show car made a pit stop in Buckhead last week on its tour throughout Fifth Third Bank’s 12-state footprint. Kenseth is the winner of the 2012 Daytona 500. The show car, which is an actually a retired (but still incredibly loud) NASCAR racer made up with the exact specifications of Kenseth's winning vehicle, was at Fifth Third Bank's Lindbergh Financial Center location.
