Best of Winner: Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt received the most votes in our poll for best frozen yogurt options around Buckhead.

When it comes to frozen yogurt choices, it would be difficult to make a bad decision. In the recent Buckhead Patch Reader's Choice Poll, however, we asked readers to pick their favorite place to get the cool treat in Buckhead. At the close of voting, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt came out on top with the most votes. Menchie's, located at 3535 Northside Pkwy NW, features a relatively new concept among frozen yogurt shops. Customers take the yogurt themselves, and pay by weight. Different flavors are rotated in on a regular basis. Patrons can choose from more than 40 toppings to turn their plain yogurt into a grand dessert. Toppings include peanut butter cups, graham crackers, jelly beans, hot fudge, and fresh fruit. Southern Art is the Readers' Choice for Best Brunch with Mom

Oprah's former personal chef runs this Readers' Choice favorite.

Southern Art and Bourbon Bar was the runaway favorite in this week's Readers' Choice poll of best places to take Mom for a Mother's Day brunch. Chef Art Smith, Oprah Winfrey's former personal chef, opened the restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel last year. Breakfast offerings include Art's Egg White Omelet, Biscuit Benedict and Art's buttermilk Fried Chicken. Blooms of Dunwoody is now open..... just in time for Mother's Day. Suzanne (the owner) previously worked at David's Flowers (my favorite local florist) and as you may or may not know, David's has closed. One partner has retired and David has come to work for Blooms of Dunwoody.
