The Taste of Buckhead is returning for its ninth year and more than 800 people are expected to attend.
Your mouth is watering in anticipation for the annual event that brings out the best dishes, chefs and cuisines that Buckhead has to offer– the annual Taste of Buckhead Business Expo. The ninth annual event takes place on Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center and is hosted by the Buckhead Business Association. Attendees will enjoy culinary delights from 16 of the area's restaurants and the chance to learn about 30 different Buckhead businesses, along with entertainment and giveaway prizes. More than 800 attended the much-anticipated event in 2012 and more than 800 are expected to attend again this year. Diane Pfeifer's award-winning Grits Bits bring Southern flair to big events--or to snack time.
Diane Pfeifer is a woman of many talents. Over the year, she's been a musician and songwriter, a chemist and a voiceover actress, but then she got the idea to start writing cookbooks. Now she's published five cookbooks and is the owner of Grits Bits, a business with a big Buckhead presence that sells snack biscuits baked with grits. Q: How did you decide to get into the business of food after being in so many other fields? A: I had come from songwriting and song publishing and I had the idea on a blind date to write a popcorn cookbook. And when nobody would publish it, I just said I'll do it myself. Nearly 20 Buckhead area restaurants took part in Monday's event.
If you missed the Taste of Buckhead on Monday evening, here's a gallery where you can see some of the highlights. The event, at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center, allowed visitors to sample appetizers, small bites of main dishes and desserts from about 20 Buckhead restaurants. Product displays, savory dishes are hits at event
The Buckhead Business Association presented its seventh annual Taste of Buckhead Business Expo on Monday at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead. Local businesses participated in the event, and favorites were restaurants serving up samples. Shula's 347, Pizzeria Venti and Sophie's Uptown were among many restaurants featured at the Taste of Buckhead. Community businesses showed their products and services with a range of creative displays. Here's a look at the event through photos.
