UGA coaching legend speaks at quarterly luncheon
UGA coaching legend Vince Dooley, keynote speaker for the Buckhead Business Association's quarterly luncheon Thursday, gave inspirational and humorous stories about Bulldog football. His noted wife, Barbara, often figured in Dooley's stories as the former UGA football coach and athletics director noted that their long marriage has thrived despite different views on such issues as discipline and prayer. Dooley said he always prayed for the Dawgs to do their best, believing that the rest "would take care of itself." Barbara Dooley, though, always prayed for the Dawgs to win. From Patch Staff Reports Legenday University of Georgia football coach and athletics director Vince Dooley will deliver the keynote address at the Buckhead Business Association's quarterly luncheon. The event will will be from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at 103 West. The cost is $50 for members and $75 for nonmembers. The group will also give out its public safety awards.
