Patch Pic: Willy's Helps Wheelchair Athletes in Shepherd Shoot-Out

This week's Patch Pic comes from Willy's, which helped wheelchair athletes refuel during the Shepherd Shootout held earlier this month.

Willy’s Mexicana Grill helped athletes refuel between games in the “Shepherd Shoot-Out,” an annual six-team basketball tournament for wheelchair athletes hosted by the Shepherd Center Nov. 2-4. Willy’s “Truck on a Mission,” helps spread goodwill by bringing the Willy’s food truck to give out free food at select community events.

Pace Alum Wins Willy's T-Shirt Contest

Sarah Butler gets free burritos for a year

From Patch Staff Reports Free burritos for a year. Pace Academy alum and SCAD senior Sarah Butler won that perk along with $250 for taking first place in Willy's Mexicana Grill's T-shirt design contest, according to a news release from Pace. The 2011 commemorative T-shirt marks Willy's new food truck and its 16th anniversary in July. The first Willy's opened in Buckhead's Roswell-Wieuca Shopping Center. Butler is pursuing a double major at SCAD in fashion and graphic design, the Pace announcement said. She began a 10-week internship with Target on June 13. She is working with the national retailer’ s design and development team on print, pattern and apparel design.
