Was Pop-Up MARTA Fashion Show OK?

Guerilla fashion show, Boys Don't Cry, was not authorized by MARTA.

MARTA police are looking into an unauthorized pop-up fashion show held a couple weeks ago at the Buckhead station.

A couple of local designers converted a tunnel in the station to a packed catwalk to show off their new creations, but MARTA said the fashion show was "neither approved nor condoned," according to WSB-TV.

A three-minute video of the show, put on by designers (b)Rick and Dieter can now be seen on Vimeo.

One of the designers said they went "through the proper steps to reach out to Marta, they never responded to us."

The designers also stated that "no one was harmed; no major damage was done to any infrastructure" and "at worst case every spectator left with an open mind.”

A "No Smoking" sign at the station had been spray-painted to read "No Crying." The fashion show was titled "Boys Don't Cry."

So, what do you think? MARTA stations are public spaces, so should pop-up fashion shows be allowed? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
