Free Lecture with Marilyn Borst at Covenant Presbyterian Church

Marilyn Borst, associate director for partnership
development of the Outreach Foundation, will speak Thursday, Oct. 10 as
Covenant Presbyterian Church (www.covenantpresbyterian.us)
continues its 2013 Mitchell Speaker Series.
Endowed by the Mitchell Women’s Christian Education Fund of Covenant
Presbyterian Church, this year’s theme is “Take a Risk, Make a Difference”, and
all of the presentations are free and open to the public.  The programs will be held in the church’s
Fellowship Hall, and will begin at 7 p.m. with coffee and dessert, followed by
the presentations from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Attendees may park for free on the top deck of the Peachtree Battle
Shopping Center parking
lot, immediately south of the church, located at 2461 Peachtree Road.

During her presentation, Borst will discuss some of the
challenges and opportunities faced by mission workers in Iraq, Iran and Syria/Lebanon.  She is affiliated
with the Outreach Foundation, a global mission agency which grew out of
the Presbyterian Church.  She works with
churches and individuals around the United States
to help them discern God’s call to mission while connecting them to that work
alongside the Global Church in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean,
Asia and the Middle East---a particular area
of specialty for her.  Borst previously
served as director of global ministry at Atlanta’s
Peachtree Presbyterian Church.  Over the
year she has traveled extensively worldwide and has led or participated in over
65 mission trips.
