Rendering Atlanta Exhibit

Rendering Atlanta presents, for the first time ever, the most detailed and beautiful architectural renderings from the Atlanta History Center’s extensive collections beginning October 23, 2013 in the Kenan Research Center. This free exhibition is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm through February 28, 2014. In this display of more than a century of architectural design, visitors will see the carefully selected sample of thirty-nine renderings as well as the tools used to create these colorful illustrations of Atlanta’s homes, schools, churches, and other notable buildings and landscapes.

These images give just a glimpse of the collection that the Kenan Research Center preserves. Available for research, the collection of 3,700 architectural jobs, including floor plans, technical drawings, architectural plans and elevations, and renderings not only guide restoration projects, but also provide for a better understanding of the area’s buildings, neighborhoods, and landscapes. Accessing the research materials at the Kenan Research Center is free of charge.
