Saturday Remodeling Tour Features Buckhead Home

A Buckhead home could be your first stop on the NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes this Saturday.

From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. four homes in Buckhead, Rosewll and Milton will be open for other homeowners to see all types of beautiful remodeling projects. The remodelers will be on hand to talk about the work.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the tour and are available for purchase online. www.atlantaremodelingtour.com. Attendees may visit the homes in any order and can download a map from the tour website.

Hall Design Build constructed a terrace level remodel and exterior makeover for a family at 4704 Lake Forrest Drive in Buckhead.

The homeowners wanted to build out the terrace level of this Atlanta home not only to create a finished space suitable for entertaining, but also to make a strong and unique selling feature.

The renovation included a billiards room, sitting room, bar, wine cellar, guest suite, home gym, spa, movie theatre and powder room. The homeowners wanted the space to feel elegant and comfortable with rustic European charm, utilizing materials and concepts wisely within the budget allotted.

The plan required structural changes, mechanical system upgrades, energy efficiency measures and audio-visual needs.

Thrilled about the finished project, the homeowners decided to add an exterior makeover, which included a saltwater pool by Custom Pools of Atlanta, arbor and fireplace, grilling area and new plantings by Landscape Studio. A new exposed aggregate driveway and stone retaining walls helped create more usable lawn areas. Also included were landscape lighting and ornamental gates.
