APD Needs Help Identifying Possible 'Pillowcase Bandit'

Police continue to investigate a series of burglaries where thieves used pillowcases to steal silverware and other valuables from Buckhead homes.

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man they believe has ties with the “Pillowcase Bandits.”

The video attached with this article depicts a male breaking into a home on Spad Avenue near Whittier Mills Park on Oct. 11, 2013.

In August, police made an arrest connected to a series of burglaries where thieves used pillowcases to steal silverware and other valuables from Buckhead homes.

Police arrested Farhana Sultan, following a tip from an outside jurisdiction, which led them to an apartment in downtown Atlanta. Lt. Rodney Woody said officers found about $100,000 worth of silverware and other items in the apartment.

Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
