The search for a new Atlanta Public Schools superintendent continues, and Buckhead's own Board of Education representative Nancy Meister continues to lead the charge.
Meister, District 4 board member, voted at the most recent BOE meeting to hire a second search firm to bring about a diverse array of qualified candidates. Boardwalk Consultants and Diversified Search will lead the superintendent search.
However, the superintendent search committee reportedly chose PROACT as the firm to conduct the search.
At the most recent Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods meeting, Meister and board member Courtney English shared their wishes for the next superintendent.
Meister said she seeks a superintendent who emphasizes transparency and has an understanding that "one size fits all" doesn't work for APS.
