The “Dancing Through Time” program, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, will feature dance, music, comedy performances, kid-friendly crafts and discussions “exploring the importance and influences of dance and music to our cultural and social history,” according to a History Center announcement.

Here is what’s on the program:

• Learn about the life and legacy of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson with tap dance demonstrations and workshops.

• Enjoy live stand-up performances by nationally known comedians Quincy Bonds, as seen on the hit TV show “House of Payne, “and Kenneth “Big Kenny” Johnson.

• Show your comic skills in improv comedy classes.

• Discover the important role of music and dance to the Civil Rights Movement with Ismail Conner.

• Create art projects inspired by the legendary performers who appeared at the Apollo Theater.

The museum is also holding special Friday programs during Black History Month.

The “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” exhibit, with displays on the famed performers who have appeared at Harlem's legendary Apollo, continues through March 4.
