Sam Massell to Give State of Community Address
'Mayor of Buckhead' to speak at Buckhead Business Association breakfast
Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell, known as "the mayor of Buckhead," will deliver his annual State of the Community address Thursday, Feb. 24.
Massell, mayor of Atlanta from 1970-'74, will speak at the regular breakfast meeting of the Buckhead Business Association in his expected "boosterism" style, according to the Buckhead Coalition.
The BBA meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the City Club, located in the Atlanta Financial Center at 3343 Peachtree Road. The cost is $10 for members and $20 for guests.

Massell is expected to repeat his constant suggestion to: “Buy a bit of Buckhead and take care of it now, and it will take care of you later,” the coalition said.
This week, Buckhead Heritage Society Executive Director Erica Danylchak will speak at the BBA's Thursday breakfast.
