Monday Essentials: First Buckhead Food Truck Tuesday

Tuesday
Livable Buckhead, partnering with Buckhead Place, is launching "Food Truck Tuesday in Buckhead" every Tuesday throughout the summer from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3314 Piedmont Road (the lot next to "Disco Kroger" and in front of L.A. Fitness). Get all the details here.

Wednesday
"BEE" Healthy at Buckhead Library: BUZZ into the Buckhead Library on Wednesday for hula hoop fun from 10:30-11 a.m.followed by a health workshop beginning at 11 a.m. Diabetes awareness included. For children ages 5-12. Registration is required. Register here or call Felicia Clift at 404.955.8352 to register. You can also register at Buckhead Library.

Commemorating 280 Years of Jews in Georgia: Atlanta Journal-Constitution freelance journalist Carolyn Wildes Cunningham, will discuss why Gen. James Oglethorpe allowed the Jewish settlers to stay in Atlanta.

Thursday
The regular meeting of the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods will be held at Peachtree Presbyterian Church at 6:30 p.m.

Friday
Children ages 12-18 get an inside look at filmmaking during this fun event at the Buckhead Library from 1-3 p.m. From library website: "Teens will learn about what goes into filmmaking, from writing a script to the importance of the production planning to the actual production...Program made possible by the support of the Atlanta Fulton Public Library Foundation."
