Westminster Alum Ed Helms to Speak at Alma Mater

Noted comic actor from school's class of '92 to appear for 60th anniversary of "Beyond the Gates" speaker series.

alumnus Ed Helms, known for his roles in "The Hangover" movies and on the TV show "The Office," will speak at his alma mater on Nov. 22 for the 60th anniversary of the school's "Beyond the Gates" speaker series.

Helms will speak in the topic, "Late Night at the Office With Ed Helms" from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the school's Kellett Theatre. A networking reception will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The moderator will be Eric Brannen, director of theatre arts. The cost is $10. Attendance to the event is restricted to the Westminster community, and closed to the public, the school said.

Also known for his appearances on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and Fox's "Arrested Development," Helms will star in the Duplass brothers' "Jeff Who Lives at Home," according to a news release from the school.
