Buckhead Coalition Calls Forum on Nightclub Noise

President Sam Massell cites need to "get ahead of problem" posing threat to community's quality of life

Expressing concern that "noise of the night is creeping back" to harm Buckhead's quality of life, President Sam Massell has called nightclub owners and neighborhood leaders to a special forum.

Massell in an announcement from the chamber-of-commerce-type organization emphasized “the importance to get ahead of the problem this time." He cited the "intolerable state of affairs experienced in Buckhead’s infamous East Village about 12 years ago."

“We are getting more and more complaints, primarily about late night noise, that has to be controlled!," Massell said. "If the clubs don’t police themselves, we’re satisfied the city government will police them.”
