Friday is deadline to sign up for Livable Buckhead's recycling event Saturday

With spring here at last, another busy weekend is in store for Buckhead. The weekend is kicking off early, with several Thursday activities, including artist Sharon Beals speaking at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, and North Atlanta's "West Side Story." Eco-Collection Event Saturday; Sign-Up Deadline Friday

Livable Buckhead's second to recycle unwanted household items will be Saturday. The registration deadline for the event is 5 p.m. Friday, Livable Buckhead said. A range of items, from electronic gear and batteries, to paint and unused medicine, will be accepted. To register, click here.

Two-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Kickoff

The 10th anniversary kickoff for the Atlanta Two-Day Walk for Breast Cancer will be at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Maggiano's in Buuckhead. Events include the first training walk, three miles through Buckhead. The walk is Oct. 6-7.
