Festive Event Raises Money for Animal Rescue Organization

A festive crowd gathered last weekend for the "Barktoberfest" to raise money for the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue organization.
Recording artist Kevin Rowe and his band entertained at the event, held at . Participants won prizes in a raffle including facials, massages, airline tickets, fresh market baskets, jewelry, hair salon gift certificates and a trip to Florida including a beachfront condo, according to Elizabeth Hale, a spokesperson for the event.

All money raised benefited Angels Among Us, a nonprofit organization based in Alpharetta dedicated to saving animals off death row in high-kill shelters.
